I grew up in Warrnambool, Victoria and inherited a bit of interest in photography from my dad – upon moving out of home and going to Geelong for university (studying civil engineering) my love of photography has grown drastically, my amount of gear and lenses also grew rapidly during this time. I enjoy capturing whatever interesting shots come across my path.

I am now based in Warrnambool and have photography mainly as a side hobby.

I love to 'capture the moment' and not just take photos randomly, but wait for and time precisely my release of the shutter. My years of experience in taking photos give me the reflexes to capture fleeting important moments.

In 2015 I also began shooting film. While I still use digital most of the time, this reversion into film photography for much of my personal photography time helps to develop my framing and care so that whenever I photograph I will be looking for unique angles and the best composition I can find.

Why do I do what I do? I believe as the Bible says

“The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
Night after night they display knowledge”
(Pslam 19)

 God has given us so many beautiful things that we most of the time just walk past or ignore
it is my goal to capture some of these things and bring them to people’s attention, whether it be a sunrise, a tiny bug or a person with a story to tell

And my hope is that these beautiful complex things will serve as a reminder that there is a God out there
a God who has created all of this
a God who we are accountable to
a God we have rebelled against
a God who has made a way for us to be forgiven

Only through Jesus Christ
